No. All telemetry data stays on your local machine. Nexus Telemetry connects directly to your Starlink terminal over your local network. We don't collect, store, or transmit your network data. The only external connection is for licence validation and checking for updates.

Yes, Nexus Telemetry works with third-party routers. You'll need to ensure your router has a route to the Starlink terminal (192.168.100.1). Most setups work out of the box, but if you're using Starlink in bypass mode, you may need to configure a static route.

Home includes all the essentials: live telemetry with health scoring, streaming charts, speed testing, obstruction mapping, satellite tracking, GPS location, connected devices, router dashboard, and outage tracking.

Nexus Telemetry uses real-time orbital data from CelesTrak and SatGP to show all Starlink satellites on a 3D globe. It matches your dish's boresight direction against satellite positions to infer which satellite you're currently connected to. SpaceX does not expose this directly, so it's the best inference available from consumer hardware.

No. The Starlink router is optional. If you're using a third-party router, all dish telemetry, charts, satellite tracking, and monitoring work perfectly. Router-specific features like speed tests, the device list, latency chain, and DHCP leases require the Starlink router.

Weather integration is optional and requires a free OpenWeather API key. Sign up at openweathermap.org, select the Current Weather plan (free tier, 1,000 calls/day), and paste the key into Settings → Weather. Nexus Telemetry fetches weather every 30 minutes — well within the free limit.

The telemetry data comes directly from your Starlink terminal — the same data source used by the official Starlink app. What you see in Nexus Telemetry is exactly what your terminal is reporting.
