Everything your terminal knows
Nexus Telemetry reads directly from your Starlink hardware using the same connection as the official app. Every metric, every detail, right on your desktop.
Monitoring
Real-time insight into your Starlink connection.
Live Telemetry Dashboard
Download speed, upload speed, latency, packet loss, satellite count, and signal quality — all updated every second. The dashboard shows current values alongside peaks and trends.
- Sub-second refresh rate
- Smooth bezier-curved charts
- Peak and average tracking
Connection Health Score
An at-a-glance health score from 0–100 based on signal quality, drop rate, and stability. Instantly know if your connection is performing well.
Streaming Charts
Real-time charts for download, upload, latency, drop rate, and power consumption. Configurable time windows from 2 minutes to 24 hours. Zoom into any chart for a full-screen view with min, max, and average statistics.
Power Monitoring
Live power draw in watts with peak and average tracking. Estimated daily energy consumption in kWh — useful for off-grid and solar setups.
Satellite & Position
Know exactly where your dish is pointing and which satellite it's talking to.
Satellite Tracking
See which Starlink satellite your terminal is communicating with on an interactive 3D globe. View real-time orbital positions for all 10,000+ satellites, filter by orbital shell (53°, 43°, 70°, 97°), and watch your active connection update as the dish hands off between satellites.
- 3D globe with Blue Marble imagery
- Real-time orbital data from CelesTrak / SatGP
- Sky plot showing dish boresight direction
- Inferred satellite matching with NORAD ID
Obstruction Mapping
A polar sky view shows exactly where trees, buildings, or other obstacles are blocking your signal. Includes SNR signal quality data, coverage statistics, alignment details with boresight angles, and a boot sequence timeline showing how long each startup phase takes.
- 360° sky view visualisation
- Obstruction percentage
- Time-based obstruction data
GPS Location
View precise GPS coordinates, altitude, and accuracy on an interactive map. The terminal's location updates automatically — essential for mobile setups, RVs, and marine installations.
- Interactive map view
- Copy coordinates to clipboard
- Altitude data
Network
See everything happening on your Starlink network.
Router Dashboard
A comprehensive view of your Starlink router. Latency chain visualisation breaks down the path from your device to the internet hop by hop. Waterfall charts show where delay accumulates. Monitor radio temperatures, view DHCP leases across all subnets, check WAN connection status, firmware version, and QoS configuration.
- Latency chain: Client → Terminal → Satellite → PoP → Internet
- Radio temperature monitoring (2.4 GHz & 5 GHz)
- DHCP leases, WAN status, firmware updates
Connected Devices
See every device on your network with names, IP addresses, partially masked MAC addresses, connection type (Ethernet/Wi-Fi), band, signal strength, and uptime. Export the device list to CSV.
- Device names and types
- Connection type indicator
- Real-time data usage
Outage History
Track every disconnect with timestamps, duration, and cause. Know exactly when issues occurred and why — whether it was obstructions, network issues, or scheduled downtime.
- Categorised outage reasons
- Duration tracking
- Historical timeline view
Speed Testing
Trigger speed tests through your Starlink router and watch the results in real-time. Animated gauges show both download and upload speeds with smooth animations.
- Uses Starlink's native test
- Test history with graphs
- Scheduled auto-tests (Pro)
Diagnostics
Professional network diagnostic tools, built in.
Multi-Target Ping
Monitor latency to 38 built-in targets across Starlink infrastructure, game servers (Fortnite, Counter-Strike, League of Legends), and CDNs. Add up to 10 custom targets. Pin specific targets for focused monitoring. Table and chart views with regional grouping.
Traceroute Diagnostics
Trace the network path from your device to any target. See each hop with IP addresses and round-trip times. Native execution using the OS traceroute/tracert command.
iPerf Speed Testing
Run iPerf3 bandwidth tests against global servers with configurable duration, direction (download/upload/both), and port. Animated gauges show results in real time with test history.
DNS Lookup
Query DNS records for any hostname. Supports A, AAAA, MX, TXT, CNAME, and NS record types. Choose between system default and custom DNS servers. Shows query time and raw output.
Port Checker
Test whether a TCP port is open and accepting connections on any host. Common port presets for HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, and more. Shows connect time in milliseconds.
Recording & Export
Capture, replay, and share your telemetry data.
Session Recording
Record telemetry sessions with names, duration limits, and GPS tracking. Replay recorded sessions with synchronised charts and route maps. Add markers, notes, and speed test results during recording. Search and manage saved sessions.
PDF Session Reports
Generate branded multi-page PDF reports from recorded sessions. Includes a cover page, performance charts (download, upload, power), and a GPS route map colour-coded by latency quality. Summary statistics with distance, data points, and query time.
Export Data
Export session data to JSON, CSV, or Excel. The Excel export includes separate sheets for telemetry data, markers, and a session summary. Ideal for further analysis or client deliverables.
Weather & Alerts
Stay informed about conditions affecting your connection.
Weather Integration
Current conditions from OpenWeather with temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity, pressure, visibility, cloud cover, and dew point. A risk assessment evaluates rain, snow, wind, and cloud cover against thresholds that may affect Starlink performance. 24-hour history charts for temperature, humidity, wind speed, and pressure. Supports Celsius/Fahrenheit and multiple wind speed units.
Configurable Notifications
System notifications for connection events (lost/restored) and threshold alerts. Set custom triggers for high latency, high obstruction, slow download speed, weather impact, and session completion. Optionally suppress notifications while the app is in focus.
Alert History
Track all connection events and alerts with severity levels (outage, warning, advisory). Filter by events or outages. See total downtime and event counts at a glance.
Configuration
Customise Nexus Telemetry to work the way you want.
Data Storage
View database size, telemetry sample count, session count, and ping samples. Configure retention periods for background data and session recordings. Run cleanup, optimise the database, or export a full backup.
Display & Appearance
System, dark, or light theme. Four display scale presets (100%–150%) optimised for desktop monitors through to wall-mounted displays. Fine-tune with keyboard shortcuts.
Network & Interface Binding
Override default dish and router addresses for non-standard setups. Bind Starlink traffic to a specific network interface to bypass VPN tunnels. Configurable connection and request timeouts.
Polling Intervals
Control how frequently telemetry is fetched from the terminal (1–30 seconds) and how often router status is polled (10–60 seconds). Changes sync to all live charts immediately.
Language
Full UI localisation. Help improve translations by suggesting corrections directly from the app.
